About Community Arts Centers Day
The arts connect people within and across neighborhoods. Community Arts Centers Day (CACD), an annual celebration of community arts centers throughout the greater Cincinnati region, is proof that the arts make neighborhoods livelier. This year, ArtsWave and several community arts centers are partnering once again to bring people out and together through art making in their communities On Saturday, August 11 and Sunday, August 12, 2012, nine participating organizations will host community “open houses” featuring participants of all ages celebrating their communities with creative costumes, masks, banners, musical instruments, and more! Community arts centers and arts events like this make our region a better place to live, work, play, and stay.
