Community Arts Centers enliven neighborhoods throughout our region, make the tri-state area a great place to live, work, play, and visit, and provide access to a wide range of art opportunities which bring people together to share experiences and ideas; inspire children, adults, and families; and help to create vibrant and connected communities.
A decade ago, there were only three arts centers located throughout the region. Today, we number 26 strong and continue to emerge and develop in new neighborhoods across Greater Cincinnati as more and more residents discover how a community-based arts center can serve as a catalyst for growth and change.
Most of us are the result of a group of citizens within a neighborhood, from all different backgrounds, who might not have come together otherwise were it not to save a historic structure, or to create a new facility that would best serve its neighborhood residents. Regardless of whether we focus on music, dance, theatre, crafts, or galleries, we all have the community as our foundation and we, in turn, help strengthen those very communities from which we sprung.
So go ahead, find your center now! Register for a class. Attend an exhibition or production. Bring the kids by for some hands-on fun. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
